Morning world. Oh my legs ache this morning but I did walk miles yesterday. Dilemma today as on another excursion at 1.00pm so I don't want to go wondering off too far but I don't want to just hang around. Ha ha have to share this with you! I put the radio on my iPad whist I god ready and found Radio 2 but couldn't understand why it was Janice Long and not Chris Evans doh! Because it's 9.00am here and 1.00am there - doh! So did what a girl does best ......... Went shopping! Bargain if the day Clinique Moisturiser in UK £29.50 in HK £18.00! I am waiting to hear what time my transfer is tomorrow as I want to go and see the 10000 Buddhas. A taxi is going to cost me £50 NOT! So I think I am going to take the metro. So breakfast today was the first photo. Best way to describe it is it's like a fried Yorkshire pudding lol. No idea what it is but it tasted nice lol and cost $9 which is about 77p lol. Lunch, early today because of trip and I was hungry, is picture two a Japanese cheese bread thing. Very tasty but sweet that was expensive $20 which is £1.72 because I went to a bakers lol.
Tonight I am going to stay down by the harbour and watch the laser show which happens every night at 8.00pm. The hotel run a free bus to and from, so will eat down there and get bus back. I have found my way around now. It is so busy. There are just over 6 million people living here! That's a lot of people in a very small space. It's like watching ants scurrying along lol. And eat! Where do they put it all? Richard you would love it, mind you I don't think even you would eat some of it ;). They sell dogs here, for pets lol. You see little puppies yapping in cages waiting to be purchased. And fish too. I went to the Goldfish market last night and yes they sell goldfish. It was really strange lol bags and bags of fish hanging up, just like a fairground. I couldn't get any pictures, they don't like you taking photos, but a got a couple of sneaky ones of the dogs lol. It really is an amazing place. I guess it is like marmite, you either love it or hate it. I love marmite and Hong Kong.
So the trip to the bronze Buddha was absolutely amazingly breathtaking. We went to the Buddhist temple after and any of you who really know me know my love of Buddha comes from my father. So I purchased some incense sticks and stood with the Chinese and lit them for my Dad. Do you know that even when I got upset no one cared, they just accepted me. We then went to a fishing village where the houses are built on sticks. Foodies please note more if this on new feature - food blog lol. First disaster of the holiday lol involved me and a sort of toilet, don't look Linda lol you wont like it. you guys have it easy you know. Anyway disaster sorted, washed t shirt lol so funny. We then caught a catamaran back to Hong Kong island. I then caught the Star Ferry back to Kowloon. Every night at eight there is a laser show at the harbour. So I hang around for the laser show, it was quite chilly. Well the Chinese loved it and I thought oh is that it. To be honest I was waiting for the Batman signal to appear.
I decided to eat downtown as I was there and went to the YMCA yes you did read that right. They have a social enterprise going on, really good cheap food. So back at the hotel now. Think trip to Buddha is off as coach coming between 2.30-3.00 to transfer me to the airport. So I think I will give myself a lazy morning, shower and pack and will have big late breakfast at the hotel.
A really fantastic day, a memory day. I can't tell you all how happy I am and I know that you are all with me, following my trip. Enjoy the photos.

Loved the toilet! when we went to Russia last year we visited a modern museum and they had these sort of toilets, however the disabled ones were 'normal' so all us british used those.xx
